  1. Tax exemption is still 2.5 lakhs only. And deductions existed even in the past which was nearly up to 6-6.5 lakhs even before 2014. So this 2 lakhs to 7.75 lakhs is a wrong statement. One more point here, total exemption is not 7.75 lakhs but 9.5 lakhs. Here again the poster maker is wrong.

  2. Bank NPAs are down due to non corrupt governance of Modi, Arun Jaitley who legislated IBC, and last but not the least Raghuram Rajan who tightened NPA accounting norms and initiated special audits to force clean up the mess. No role of Nirmala Sitharaman here.

  3. Infra spending is part of the overall BJP agenda since Atal Bihari Vajpayee government and excellent work done by Nitin Gadkari, Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnav, etc. Nitin Gadkari cleaned up the mess created by Congress by introducing HAM model and creating InVITs and thereby facilitating monetization of infrastructure which didn't exist during Congress rule. No role of Nirmala Sitharaman here.

  4. Wealth is created due to excessive inflows in stock markets due to lower interest offered by banks. This strategy of reducing policy rates was initiated by Arun Jaitley and he had constant friction with Raghuram Rajan and Urjit Patel over this. Again no role of Nirmala Sitharaman here.

  5. Forex addition is due to a host of reasons including higher FII and FDI inflows which are happening organically, exports for which industry is responsible, and schemes like PLI which is administered by Piyush Goyal. Again no role of Nirmala Sitharaman here.

  6. GDP rank is naturally an outcome from a combination of factors that includes and is not limited to population and consumption, infra spending, etc in which all ministers are jointly responsible. Specifically this is not an individual job of any one minister.

  7. Scams have reduced due to that one man at the top who doesn't eat and doesn't allow anyone to eat. Na khaunga na khane dunga, remember?

What is Nirmala Sitharaman priding herself for?

Rather in my opinion even Arun Jaitley was not that great a finance minister, when it specifically came to tax laws. It was that very short stint of Piyush Goyal as the finance minister, when we saw a lot of issues in GST cleaned up. I want PiGo as the FM but I know he won't become FM for a long time.
