1. Passport (Entry into India) act, 1920
   • The act allows the government to control who enters India, make rules about passport requirements and stop people from entering India if they do not have a valid passport.
2. Foreigners act, 1946
   • Grant's central government the power to regulate the entry, presence and departure of foreigners in India.
3. Foreigners (tribunals) order, 1964
   • The government can send a case to special tribunal to decide whether a person is foreigner under the foreigners act of 1946.
4. Passport act, 1967

Supreme Court upholds Section 6A of the Citizenship act

• By upholding Sec 6A of Citizenship Act, Supreme Court has asked Centre and state govt to effectively implement directions in Sarbananda Sonowal judgments for identification, detection and deportation of Illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.

• Justice Kant said SC will from now onwards monitor this identification and deportation process.

STATE HAS THE POWER TO IDENTIFY AND DEPORT ILLEGAL MIGRANTS THROUGH NOT ONLY FOREIGNERS ACT, BUT ALSO UNDER OTHER SIMILAR LAWS FOR THE PURPOSE
