Protests for sale of land to non residents increasing
After widespread protests across Uttarakhand in December on the large-scale sale of land to non-residents, Dhami has promised stricter laws. District Magistrates have been ordered to deny attempts by outsiders to buy land for horticultural and agricultural purposes until a five-member committee on land law submits its report.
